Brye Sargent, CSP, is the founder of The Safety Geek, where she coaches and trains workplace safety managers to become influential leaders in their organizations. With over 20 years of experience in high-hazard industries, Brye specializes in blending psychology with practical systems to gain management support, engage employees, and build lasting safety cultures.

Through her programs and resources, she has trained more than 500 safety managers, helping them move beyond compliance and develop strategies that truly shift workplace culture. Brye’s passion is empowering safety professionals who feel stuck or unsupported by giving them the tools and confidence to drive real change. The Safety Geek community offers coaching, articles, templates, and training that focus on the human side of safety, because changing beliefs is the key to changing behaviors.

Joseph (Joe) Bundrant, son of company founder Chuck Bundrant, is the Chief Executive Officer of Trident Seafoods Corporation. Starting with a single vessel, the Billikin, in 1973, Trident has grown into a global company and become North America’s largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company.

Born on the remote island of Kodiak, Alaska, Joe literally grew up with a fish in each hand. Since then, he has continued the tradition of growing the family-owned business from the inside out, nurturing loyal employees and fishermen while extending Trident’s brand and trusted reputation worldwide.

Joe is actively involved in his community, serving on several industry boards and associations, including the At-Sea Processors Association (APA), Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP), Harvester CEO Council, Pacific Seafood Processors Association (PSPA), and the Processor CEO Council.

Program Tracks

Oil & Gas

This track focuses on safety challenges unique to oil and gas operations, including field work, remote locations, hazardous energy, pipeline safety, and high-risk tasks. Sessions should be practical and grounded in real-world operations, with attention to industry regulations that govern upstream, midstream, and downstream work.

Construction

This track covers safety in active construction environments, including planning, supervision, and execution of work. Topics may include fall protection, heavy equipment, excavation, electrical hazards, and managing safety on fast-moving, multi-employer job sites.

Healthcare

This track addresses safety in healthcare settings, where workers face both physical and psychological hazards. Topics may include workplace violence, ergonomics, infection control, fatigue, and protecting staff while delivering patient care.

General Industry

This track is designed for frontline industries including transportation, maritime, utilities, and mining. Sessions may address operational safety, human factors, emergency response, equipment use, and the realities of keeping people safe in high-consequence, day-to-day work environments.
