2026 Safety Video Competition

Alaska Middle & High School Students: Show Off Your Video Skills for a Safer Workplace

Hosted by: Alaska Occupational Safety and Health (AKOSH)
Deadline: March 6, 2026

Middle school and high school students across Alaska are invited to showcase their creativity and video production talents in a statewide competition focused on a critical cause: promoting workplace safety and health for young workers.

The 2026 Safety Video Competition, hosted by AKOSH, challenges students to create a short, impactful video (no more than one minute long) that highlights one of the following key safety topics:

  • Fall Protection
  • Hazard Communication
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Young Worker Safety in Restaurants

The goal? To raise awareness among teen workers and their peers about the importance of staying safe on the job.

What’s in it for You?

The winning team will receive:

  • plaque to display at their school
  • monetary prize for their school
  • Their video featured in official AKOSH outreach to promote workplace safety across Alaska

2026 Competition Donations

Support Alaska’s next generation of safety leaders by donating to the Student Safety Video Competition at the 2026 Alaska Governor’s Safety & Health Conference. Your donation will go toward the cash prize awarded to the winning school and promoting the video. Donors will be recognized during the awards ceremony.
